Construction in the rainy season: what to check before the shift

The rainy season makes the night shift harder: the ground softens, visibility drops and any cable run along the ground becomes a problem. Before starting, it pays to check four points.

Ground

Place the unit on a firm, level surface. On soft ground, rest the legs on a rigid base so they don't sink as the hours go by.

Stability

Make sure the tripod is fully open and secured before extending the mast. In wind, lower the working height.

Equipment protection

Confirm the water protection rating of the model you will use ([__]) and follow the manufacturer's instructions for operating in rain.

Charge

Leave the units charged from the previous shift. Since they don't depend on a generator or power cable runs, the jobsite can be lit even when the ground is waterlogged.
