Emergency response
Emergency lighting: what a response team needs
During a rescue or a nighttime incident response, lighting cannot wait for a generator to arrive or for someone to run cables. These are the points worth evaluating when choosing equipment for emergency response.
Deployment
One person should be able to unload the unit from the vehicle, open it and switch it on, with no tools. Every minute saved on setup is time for the operation.
Runtime
The light has to last as long as the operation does. Check the model's actual runtime ([__] hours) and how it recharges between calls.
No fuel, no noise
An electric unit produces no fumes and no engine noise. In enclosed spaces or near injured people, that makes communication easier for the rescue team.
Transport
It should fit in the vehicle alongside the rest of the gear and be easy to move by hand over uneven ground.
